COOLANT SYSTEM
Coolant pressures can exceed 90 psi in the rear of the block, this kit ensures excess pressure is allowed
to circulate, aiding cooling in the rear cylinders. This kit will also reduce parasitic power losses from the water pump,
to increase performance. Although this kit has been proven effective, combustion leaks into the coolant system can still
over pressurize the rear freeze plug, as the MLS head gasket can leak and reseal with no visible indication of a prior leak.

No that's not the surface of the moon, it is a casting plug that needs attention. This came out of a 1999 5.9 cylinder
head. Lets face it, if you were to lose a casting plug beneath the valve cover, it is game over for all oil lubricated components.
In some cases these plugs have blown out due to combustion leaks into the coolant system, they can also corrode due to rust.
The kit includes all new pipe plugs and the needed tap to thread the head. Fits 1998.5-Current 24 valve heads.
